Like several of our one-time contributors, the poster behind this message has requested that I that I paraphrase and leave his or her name off the blog. Let me state, for the record, that I neither endorse nor promote alien conspiracy theories.
At the same time, the connections between alien visitation theory and biblical study - as well as pagan mythologies, for that matter - are fairly well documented. Movies like Stargate have made them popular. When people talk about the Archangels as extra-terrestrial intelligences, we're not discussing anything we haven't seen in a Nicholas Cage movie.
With that in mind, our anonymous poster suggests that an event like Sam Bailey's life might be the result of alien tinkering with the human genome - either through an abduction of Sam's mother, or perhaps through some less invasive, more passive procedure.
In the e-mail I received, the poster laid out an abduction scenario behind the Virgin Mary's pregnancy to support this idea that is too detailed for me to reiterate here. At any rate, the idea speaks for itself.
Notions that Sam Bailey is the product of alien tampering seem more likely if you accept the idea that aliens are responsible for human evolution to begin with. Personally, this isn't an idea I find too credible. Our anonymous poster subscribes to this belief, and seems to assume that the readership of this site does as well.
To the anonymous poster, I'd like to say that I realize your ideas aren't necessarily posted in the spirit with which you sent them. I've colored them with my own commentary. Without a legitimate name to attach to these ideas, my disclaimers are the only thing keeping me from being labeled as an alien watcher.
What's s bad about that, you're asking? If you didn't know the answer to that question, you would have let me publish your name.
While I'm willing to share any perspective as part of the discussion, I'm not necessarily willing to claim that perspective as my own. Keep it in mind.
