For the record, this website is not a Highlander fan site. Neither Tennyson E. Stead, nor the other resarchers of this site, endorse or condone violence against any living person, immortal or no.
Our purpose here is to generate scientific and historical inquiry into the possibility that one or more immortals are living among us, both in terms of the mechanisms of such a life, and in terms of the impact such people have on civilization. Our hope is to arrive at an academically supported thesis along these lines, and through awareness and understanding, to arrive at a paradigm where these individuals need not keep their lives a secret.
Francis Bacon was not a "highlander". The Highlander is a silly highlight in the rise of '80's action cinema, and I suspect even the filmmakers themselves would reject the idea of looking for hidden historical meaning in the film, much as they may value it's message of triumph over evil.
If you are taking our work here as an indication that there may be something more to The Highlander than meets the eye, please stop. That film is a piece of fictionalized entertainment, and our concern is with real people.
Thank you.
